Most pools should be filtered at least 6-10 hours a day during the swimming season, preferably during the day or when swimmers use the pool. Q: Do you reccomend sand filters? A: No we do not! We have found that for the aboveground pools, that the Cartridge filter works best, and is much easier to maintain. Sand filters are better used in pond or waterfall applications. Q: Where do I buy replacement Cartridges? A: You can buy or order one for your unit at your local pool store. Make sure you take the old one with you to be sure that you buy the right one. Q: Is a leaf trap neccessary in the filter and pump system? A: Yes , we reccomend a trap or what is also known as a lint pot. This will keep alot of unwanted debris out or your filter and pump.
