Buying a pool is a great investment in family fun. The following are some of the questions we think you will want to have answered:
Q: What are the different types of pools?
A: First pools are divided into two groups. The two main categories would be inground and the increasingly popular above ground pool. The in-ground pool is permanently installed. The in-ground pools cost more to have built and generally maintanance is higher than above-ground pools. They are also taxable because the installation is permanent.
Q: What is an above ground pool?
A: The above-ground pool is a pre-packaged pool that can be purchased and installed over the weekend. The soft-sided pool, that is made of durable heavy-gauge super-tough tm* PVC laminated to an inner layer of polyester mesh for extra reinforcement. This type of pool is easy to set up - no tools required. Set up time takes only a couple of hours.
Q: Can this pool be placed in the ground?
A: Well these types of pools were not made to be placed under ground. If you decide to put your aboveground pool in the ground it will void the warranty on the pool. We do not reccomend that you do this.
Q: How do I prepare for the space needed for my pool?
A: Well, we reccomend that you level the total area within three inches. To get the needed space you would add 1 1/2' ft. all the way around the pool. Example: (13' x 25' would need an area space of 16' x 28').
Q: What Kind of electrical hookup do I need and how many amps does the pump draw. A: We reccomend a dedicated 20 AMP line to supply your pool with its power. A 1 HP pump will draw about 9 AMPS, and a 1.5 HP pump will draw about 12 AMPS. A 20 AMP line will allow more power for extras. ( Like a light, or Timer, ETC.)
Q: How can I put a light in my pool. A: Well, we sell what is called a Quasar light, which is installed in the return line hole of the pool. The Quasar light was designed to luminate the pool, and also be a return line for you pool at the same time. The only disadvantage to this unit is that you cannot hook up a fountain to the system. But overall it is a very nice feature to have.
